Welcome to the Southeast Texas Counseling Association

The Southeast Texas Counseling Association is organized as a chapter of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) and shall conduct its affairs in compliance with the TCA By-Laws. The Southeast Texas Counseling Association may affiliate with other groups whose purposes are consistent with the By-Laws of both the Texas Counseling Association and the Southeast Texas Counseling Association. The Southeast Texas Counseling Association adheres to the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics. The purpose of the Southeast Texas Counseling Association to provide leadership, advocacy, and education to promote the growth and development of the counseling profession and those who are served through such values as Respect, Professionalism, Advocacy, Unity of Purpose, Accountability and Effective Communication.

We serve Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Newton, Orange, Polk, and Tyler counties.

The mission of the Southeast Texas Counseling Association is to enhance the quality of life in society by promoting the development of professional counselors, advancing the counseling profession, and using the profession and practice of counseling to promote respect for human dignity and diversity.
