This conference is hosted annually by the Texas Counseling Association and is one of the largest conferences for professional counselors in the state.
With a full schedule of robust CE programming, exciting exhibitors, and 1500+ counseling professionals in attendance, TCA's Professional Growth Conference is the place to be. This year's theme is "Amplify Professional Counseling." Join us this October as we continue to grow relationships, collaborate, and amplify our collective voice.
Programs are designed for professional counselors who work in various settings including private practice, primary and higher education, criminal justice, community mental health centers, hospitals, nursing homes, managed care facilities, and more.
Dr. Lynn Linde is the Chief of Professional Practice for the American Counseling Association. She oversees professional issues related to counseling and ethics and is the project lead for the Counseling Compact. She holds a bachelor’s in psychology from Clark University and a master’s and doctorate in counseling from The George Washington University. Lynn is an ACA Fellow and served as the 2009-10 President of ACA, the 2012-13 Treasurer, a number of other leadership positions, and was a member of the 2014 ACA Ethics Revision Task Force. Lynn is the recipient of several state and national awards, including the Carl Perkins Award, The Counselor Educator Advocacy Award, two Presidential Awards, and a lifetime achievement award from the Maryland Counseling Association. She was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from AASCB in January 2024. She is the author/coauthor of a number of book chapters on ethical/legal issues for counselors and makes frequent presentations on ethics, the Counseling Compact, and current issues in the profession.
Josey Scott is well known as the original vocalist for the Grammy-nominated rock band Saliva. In addition to hits from his time with Saliva, Scott co-wrote and performed Hero, a song for the soundtrack to Spider-Man, with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback.
