The Texas Association of Marriage and Family Counselors is a division of the Texas Counseling Association. We are dedicated to supporting the engagement, practice and development of counselors and therapists in Texas and the couples and families they serve.
Families are the foundation and fabric of our communities and our world.
We are all connected. The family system plays a role in everyone’s lives, whether your family is biological, extended, blended, inherited, adopted, complex or chosen. We embrace the uniqueness and diverse voices by members, who advocate for couples and families who may be marginalized, unrepresented, or neurodivergent.
Bringing counselors together from many backgrounds strengthens families, creates more access, and normalizes the often messy and complicated experience of family life!
We honor the incredible work that counselors are doing in all fields related to marriage and family and want to serve you, your practices, and your families.
TAMFC is an organization that promotes excellence in the practice of couples and family counseling by:
