The Educational Endowment Fund was established by the Board and Senate of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA). The fund will provide professional development awards to be made for the following purposes: (1) attendance at conferences sponsored by TCA and its Divisions, (2) course work toward completion of a graduate degree; (3) activities such as original research, conference attendance or specialized study; (4) other professional development or continuing education activities; or (5) for special initiatives as determined by the TCA Finance Committee.
Applications for EEF Grants must be received electronically on or before April 1st, August 1st and December 1st of each year.
One of TCA’s organizational goals is to expand engagement and leadership opportunities across the association for counselors who also identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). The TCA Professional Growth Conference is an excellent venue to introduce BIPOC counseling students and new professionals to leadership development opportunities. These grants, of up to $500, are designed to help cover conference expenses for BIPOC student and new professional members.
FY2025 application deadline is 9/22/2024.
In an attempt to enhance and strengthen the grass roots of TCA and to more realistically address the professional needs of TCA members across the state, a systematic procedure has been established for the awarding of Grants to Chapter(s) and Division(s) as a means of developing professional development programs, workshops, seminars, continuing education programs, and lectureships, both locally and by region.
TCA Divisions and Chapters must complete the grant application at least six (6) weeks prior to the activity.
